Salvia Extract Tea
Many will enjoy a nice hot cup of Salvia tea. Salvia tea can be made with salvia leaves or salvia extract. Both ways of making salvia tea are equally effective in producing a calming effect. The ultimate result will depend on how much salvia tea that you consume. Both salvia leaves and salvia extract can make a brilliant tasting tea.
If you want to make a pot of salvia extract tea you are going to need water brought to a boil in a pot. About 14 ounces of water will do. When the water has been steadily boiling, drop a dash of salvia extract into the water and boil for about five minutes. After the boiling time has finished let the mixture cool for a couple of minutes. When you’re ready to enjoy you hot and calming cup of salvia extract tea pour into a tea cup. It is up to you to add sugar, honey or milk to your tea. Some like to sweeten the mixture up before drinking while others prefer their salvia in its natural state.
If you want to make a pot of salvia leaf tea you are going to need water brought to a boil in a pot. Fourteen ounces of water is a good amount of water and allows for some evaporation. After the water has been boiling steadily add one ounce of dried salvia leaves to the water. Let the mixture boil for about five minutes. When the boiling has finished, take the pot off the burner and let stand for about ten minutes. After letting your boiled tea rest for ten minutes you will need to strain the tea leaves from the water. This can be difficult to do if they break apart, often you will find small pieces of salvia leaf in your finished cup of tea. After pouring your tea you, can once again add sugar, honey or milk to taste.
Using the salvia leaf to make tea seems to be the harder way of the two. The fact that tea leaves may still remain in the water after straining makes the extract a better option. Salvia leaf extract and leaves can both be purchased online for your tea making needs.
