When I smoked Salvia Divinorum the second time, I found a reputable website (ordersalvia.com) where I could order salvia online, and was very excited when it arrived in the mail. Sitting on a comfy couch, I only took a small hit out a glass water pipe, and remembering that I had read that Salvia only takes 30 seconds to activate when smoked, I decided to count seconds. I got to eleven, and realized that I was no longer in my body. Visually, nothing had changed in my environment, except that I was totally disassociated from it, although I observed my body relaxing quite nicely on the couch. Salvia is great. I typically don’t try many substances, so when my friend who worked a head shop told me about this natural one, I was pretty stoked. She said that her head shop sold “Natural Salvia” brand salvia, which seemed perfect since it is organic. My girlfriend, myself and my friend all went to her house one day to try it out. She had smoked salvia before, so she went first, and after she took a hit, and decided to lay down on her back, which was not unreasonable, given the nice skylight in her ceiling. I took a hit from the small water bong and turned to sit it on the table. When I turned back, I was slightly worried to see that my girlfriend was becoming a deep pool of liquid, and I must have looked worried because she said “it’s ok.” My worried feelings didn’t last for long, because I started to notice bits of color around floating across my vision like stained glass, and later on, stars. This lasted until I came out of it, and at one point, thought the visuals got very bright, I could still see between them. I think I could have tried a bigger hit, or just taken another, but for a first time it was a stellar salvia trip.

I decided to try salvia divinorum without the normal companionship of a friend. In previous experiences, I had always felt that salvia trips might be more personal than I had given them credit for. I packed a bong with maybe a couple of teaspoons of Super Salvia 20x extract, sat down on my yoga mat in my dimly lit room, and took a small hit. Unlike my other salvia trips, I began to experience some slight anxiety, but then realized that the room was a bit dark (i don’t like the dark normally) and turned on a small lamp behind me. That helped, and something was telling me that I needed to finish my journey, so I cleared the rest of the bong. Gradually, I began to look around, and I realized I was standing in the middle of a dense thicket of trees in the woods. I didn’t recognize the place at all, but strangely, I felt completely comfortable with where I was. I started to move (i would say walk, but I felt like I was just hovering) across the ground, until the trees opened up into a walled green garden. As soon as I stepped into the garden, I realized that all the plants in it weren’t green at all, but that the closer I looked at them, the more I could see that they were just covered in green color, and that they were all made of some kind of golden metal. I turned around and saw a giant man standing in front of me, who reminded me to some extent of the Sphinx at Giza, except he was solid gold and about 11 feet high (about twice as tall as I.) It was here that the salvia trip got more intense, he put his hand on my heart and said something to me, even though his lips did not move. The colors got a bit brighter then, and I realized that the gold substance was coming from inside of me, before I found myself back on the yoga mat holding the bong. Later on I tried to write about what happened, but this salvia trip was beyond words to describe.

I smoked salvia at a hookah bar before i knew that I could buy salvia online. This was the only time I smoked it in public, (excluding small groups of friends.) We packed a little in with the sheesha, and I took a puff. Just as I was thinking that the particular bar I was in may not have been the best place to smoke salvia, I happened to notice a poster with a river in it that I had seen many times before, except this time there were packages floating in the water in the picture. Additionally, I noticed that the packages were moving, floating down stream towards the waterfall. I don’t really know what else went on when my friends smoked it, but I think that’s because I was so into what I was looking at, and somewhere along the way, I had started to hear the rushing water. I really felt like I should have just been able to jump up and walk into the poster. After a few seconds it wore off, and although the water flowing noise hung around for a bit, I had a great time dancing later.
